The Cramptons in Didsbury

It was a surprisingly warm day out in Didsbury a little over a week ago when I had the pleasure of photographing the Crampton family - lots of goofing around made the shoot a real joy. What sweet girls, and a family that loves nothing more than spending time together.

Generations

Earlier this month I had a session with my biggest group yet, twelve people across three generations, to celebrate the Leo's (the grandfather) birthday. We went out to the Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs, which is an absolutely gorgeous place to shoot with the thick stands of trees and open fields, and had a blast. The five children were enthusiastic and energetic, especially the three oldest who made me feel quite old as we ran around. Here are a few images from the shoot:

Sunset Fun

The Slobodecki family won a photo session with me thanks to Ryan Shandruk - Calgary RE/MAX Realty Professionals, and we found an amazingly sunny, warm evening last week to visit Fish Creek Park to make the portraits. This is an awesome family, a real pleasure to work with and really interested in getting some fun, natural images. I think the good times we had show in the photos:

The Buckingham & Shandruk Families

I was booked to do an extended family session with the Buckingham and Shandruk families a little over a week ago at one of my favourite places to shoot, the Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs. Sadly, the weather chose not to cooperate and we needed a backup. It turned out to be just fine, though, as we met at an architecturally fascinating building on the grounds of the University of Calgary, with plenty of unique looks both inside and outside.

The Dalziel Family

The Dalziel's - Anna, Ryan, Jaxon, and Landon - asked me to make some portraits as Jaxon had just turned two, and despite the disappointing overcast sky we managed to get some great shots. Jaxon's a super-friendly little guy with big hair and a bigger personality, and he was generous with his big smiles.
